Politico Pro senior health care reporter Jennifer Haberkorn is leaving to become a Washington reporter for the Los Angeles Times.

Here is an email sent out by Politico Pro editor Marty Kady:

Jennifer Haberkorn was a pro before there was a Pro, and after eight years with POLITICO – basically the lifespan of Obamacare – she’s moving on to become a congressional reporter for the LA Times Washington bureau.

Jen has covered just about every aspect of health care for us – and it was her success on Pulse that helped inspire what we now know as Politico Pro.  She’s been a mainstay of our health coverage in Congress, but she’s also covered the interminable legal fights over Obamacare, all the way to the Supreme Court, and has been a leader in coverage of abortion and women’s health issues. She’s also done a couple of really excellent magazine pieces, and has traveled the country writing about Obamacare at the state and local level. Above all she’s been a terrific colleague, helping a stream of Pros learn the ropes on health care.

We’ll miss her – but we wish her all the best.
