Lucia Moses of BrandWeek writes that PC World is redesigning itself for its September issue to focus on gadgets.

PC WorldMoses wrote, “To support that goal, the redesigned PC World will introduce a number of new departments. Forward, focusing on breakthrough products and trends, will replace the news section. Business Center will provide practical information for small- to medium-sized business owners (complemented by an expanded Web section, PCW Business Center). Security Alert will inform readers about security threats and tools to combat them. New columns will offer tech advice in various areas.

“The new look, by New York firm Don Morris Design, includes an updated logo and heavy cover emphasis on the gadgets the magazine reviews.

“Throughout the magazine, more prominent links will direct readers to its Web site’s increasing amount of online-only content, such as video, blogs and reader interactive features.”
