Orman headed to syndication

suze-ormanDon Kaplan of New York Daily News writes that Suze Orman is shopping a show for syndication now that her personal finance show on CNBC has ended.

Kaplan writes, “Her new syndicated show, ‘Money Wars’ is in production at Telepictures and could compete with daytime mega hits like ‘Ellen’ and ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ — although there’s been no word on where or when it will debut.

“‘Money Wars’ has been described as a cross between “Peoples Court” and her own brand of practical financial savvy in which she will play the role of a mediator who as her guests, regular people, settle financial disputes between family and friends.

“Syndicated programming is among the most lucrative and widely watched avenues of distribution on television. Oprah Winfrey is among the format’s biggest success stories, while the reigning queen – and one of the highest paid personalities on TV — is ‘Judge Judy.'”
