The Oregonian in Portland rolled out its revamped business section on Tuesday.

Business editor Scott Bernard Nelson writes, “The new look emphasizes the fast pace of economic activity across the Portland area and provides a deeper focus on local businesses.

“We’re also adding two new reporters to the staff: Elliot Njus, covering real estate news, and Molly Young, writing about small business. You can find a list of business reporters and the beats they cover at orne.ws/bizstaff.

“Inside the daily section, you’ll also find significantly expanded listings for Industry Notes, Business Calendar and People. If you have announcements or events to contribute, send them our way at business@oregonian.com.

“The Sunday section will have enhanced week-in-review features and an all-new ‘Open and Shut’ section highlighting local retail beginnings and endings. We’ll also be running a collection of business briefs from The Oregonian’s bureaus to make sure newsmakers from throughout the metro area are reflected in our coverage.”
