NYTimes launches redesigned real estate app

NYT Real estate appThe New York Times introduced a revamped version of its real-estate application for iOS devices—such as iPhones and iPads—on Tuesday, replete with several new features, reports Jeremy Barr of Capital New York.

Barr writes, “Paul Smurl, who serves as serves as G.M. for core digital products, said that the new app incorporates search and personalization functionality made available in the latest versions of iOS software.

“The new real-estate app, which is free and does not require a subscription, offers enhanced search tools for locating open houses and homes for sale.

“Version 2.0 also has a sleek new look, or a ‘new visual identity,’ according to the announcement.

“And, it aims to keep pace in the stream-based media content environment of 2014 by updating throughout the day.”
