New editor named at Prairie Business magazine
Tom Dennis, who has been editorial page editor of the Grand Forks Herald for 20 years, will assume duties as editor of Prairie Business in the coming days, according to a story on the Herald’s website.
The story states, “Before coming to Grand Forks in 1997, Dennis spent five years as editorial page editor at the Times Leader in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He also was a columnist, reporter and editor at the Duluth News-Tribune from 1984 to 1992.
“He has a bachelor’s degree in political economy and environmental studies from Williams College and a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
“Wenzel said that combined experience makes Dennis a great choice to be Prairie Business’ new editor.
“‘I’ve worked closely with Tom and I see an analytical mind coupled with excellent writing skills,’ Wenzel said. ‘And his grasp of this region’s economy and business climate is firm.’
“Dennis will replace Lisa Gibson, who recently resigned.”
