Missouri biz publication undergoes transformation

Joe Schmitter of the Columbia Business Times in Missouri writes about how the publication is changing with the next issue.

Schmitter writes, “As many of you have already learned, starting November 1st, the CBT will become a monthly magazine. Gone are the days of the tabloid-sized paper printed on newsprint and distributed every 2 weeks. We welcome in an era of a monthly magazine printed on glossy paper. While we have kept many of the features that have made CBT so popular, you will find many new departments, unique insights, and fresh ideas.

“While many people have played a large part in making this transition possible, I’d like to say a special “THANK YOU!” and “JOB WELL DONE!” to our Art Director, Alisha Moreland. I can’t even begin to tell you about all the tasks she took ownership of to get this redesign completed, but briefly she was instrumental in:

  • creating the new logo
  • developing the new layout/design
  • crafting new features
  • creating advertising specs/ideas and actual ads
  • completly overhauling the look of the 20 Under 40 Awards section
  • creating a complementary design for the new website that may accompany the new magazine.”
