Caitlin BowlingCaitlin Bowling, a reporter at Louisville Business First, has left the American City Business Journals publication for a job at Insider Louisville, an online-only publication.

Bowling starts her new job on Monday.

At Business First, her beats were restaurants, retail operations, women’s affairs and tourism. For Insider Louisville, Bowling will cover restaurants and retail business  similar to her past job. However, she will also cover general business in Southern Indiana and help cover Louisville large public companies such as Humana Inc.

“I’m definitely excited to start at a relatively young publication where I can help build something but still cover the booming restaurant industry in Louisville,” said Bowling in an email to Talking Biz News.

Prior to joining Business First, Bowling was a general assignment reporter and photographer at Smoky Mountain News, a weekly newspaper in Western North Carolina with a strong focus on in-depth enterprise reporting. While at Smoky Mountain News, she won first place for general news excellence,  first place for community service and third place for education reporting from the North Carolina Press Association.

Bowling is a graduate of Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism.
