Buchenot writes, “Sandra left Wheaton to attend Louisiana State University. After graduating, she pursued a career doing research and analysis of retail stocks for Aegis Capital. “Although her schedule can be hectic, Sandra explains that ‘it wouldn’t be news if it weren’t changing all of the time. “Periodically throughout the year, Sandra meets with wardrobe consultants who help her plan colorful outfits that are professional but not distracting. ‘About 50% of television is what you look like so you have to pay attention to that,’ she says.

“One of the perks of her job is ‘meetings smart and interesting people every day. Being a journalist gives you access to knowledgeable people.'”
