Loeb’s son interested in buying Money/Fortune
The son of Marshall Loeb, who edited both Money and Fortune magazines, is interested in buying them from Meredith, reports Keith Kelly of the New York Post.
Kelly repots, “Michael Loeb, who co-founded the magazine marketing firm Synapse Group, which was sold to Time Inc. 12 years ago, is now an investment banker running Loeb & Co.
“He is said to be eyeing Fortune and Money. He is the son of the legendary magazine editor Marshall Loeb, who edited both Money and Fortune. He retired in 1994 and passed away last December.
“Emanuel and Loeb join a host of other suitors including Jay Penske at Penske Media, Jimmy Finkelstein, who owns the Beltway publication The Hill, and Liam Lynch, who runs the venture capital firm Studio VC.”
