Lisovicz names visiting Reynolds professor

December 7, 2010

Susan Lisovicz, who was CNN’s Wall Street reporter until earlier this year, has been named the Reynolds Visiting Professor in Business Journalism for the spring 2011 semester at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.

Lisovicz is the former president of the New York Financial Writers Association. In more than a decade at CNN, she interviewed business VIPs including Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, in addition to providing daily coverage of the dot.com boom and bust and the financial aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. She was featured on the cover of BusinessWeek for the story “What the Market is Telling Us.”

At the Cronkite School, Lisovicz will be assisting with business journalism and broadcast journalism courses, with an emphasis on helping Cronkite students produce business stories on the air.

The position is made possible by a generous three-year, $390,000 grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. The Las Vegas-based foundation also supports the Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism and the Donald W. Reynolds Endowed Chair in Business Journalism at the Cronkite School.
