Inc. launches website redesign

December 14, 2011

Inc.com has been re-launched with new content, features, analysis, tools and a new slate of columnists.

“Inc.com is the best online resource for entrepreneurs focused on growing their companies,” says editor in chief Eric Schurenberg, who joined Inc.com in September, in a statement. “The site now really ups the expert level, prominence, and authority of the columnists and writers. We’ve got some of the best. There are places to share content at every turn, it’s more agile and the proliferation of content is just the first step.”

New members of the editorial team include managing editor Rachel Elson and senior editor Lindsay Blakely, both of whom followed Schurenberg to Inc.com from CBS Interactive, and editor at large Kimberly Weisul, who joined from Bloomberg Businessweek.

There are also new columns on the site, including columns by Nolan Bushnell, entrepreneur and founder of Atari; Seth Goldman, president and TeaEO of Honest Tea; and Robert S. Kaplan, Baker Foundation Professor, Harvard Business School.

The site, which originally launched in 1995, now includes a feature called Inc. Wire, a regularly updated news service  refreshed five to six times per day with breaking news that is relevant and targeted to entrepreneurs

Traffic at Inc.com has already seen growth in 2011. November 2011 was a record month in revenues and traffic, with 60 percent digital revenue growth from November 2010. Year-over-year growth in unique visitors is already up 68 percent from 2010.

Schurenberg posted Wednesday about the redesign. You can read his comments here.
