Imagining a conversation between Murdoch and WSJ editor

Paul Brean of The National Post in Canada imagines Saturday what a conversation between News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch and the top editor of The Wall Street Journal would be like after Murdoch closes on his deal to purchase the paper.

Brean wrote, “‘Actually Paul, Sudoku is a very cerebral game, but like I say, you’re the boss,’ I said.

“‘Paul, for god’s sake, give me some credit here. It’s not a Page Three girl. She will be fully clothed. But fine. If you don’t think the Investment Banking Intern of the Week is a good feature, then we’ll scrap it. Like I say, you’re the man,’ I said.

‘Paul said something about his duty to the public trust, or something like that. I wasn’t really listening. How about News of the World? Is that taken already?”
