Harrisburg editor hears from readers about stock cuts

Harrisburg Patriot-News editor Tom Barstow wrote in Sunday’s paper that he’s heard from readers wanting to know how they can obtain stock prices now that the paper has cut its listings.

Tom Barstow Barstow wrote, “Readers who have the Internet can go to our Web site and create a portfolio of stocks that can be checked at any time. Once set up, the portfolio automatically updates each time you log in. There is no need to re-enter information unless you buy or trade a stock.

“I could understand people’s frustration with the change if they don’t have a computer. That’s why we offer our phone service, MarketLine.

“I appreciated all the thoughtful questions and comments. Even though we will stay on this course, some of the ideas will guide us in the future.”
