John Romanelli, editor of the Halifax Daily News, wrote Saturday that the paper was bulking up its Saturday business section, called Business Matters.

Halifax Daily NewsRomanelli wrote, “In it, you’ll find expanded coverage of the business world, a page on issues related to the work place and – I’m saving the best for last – three new regular business columnists, all members of our community and all with something to say.

“Dr. J. Colin Dodds, President of Saint Mary’s University and Professor of Finance in the Sobey School of Business, writes a Business Commentary column dealing with the world of finance.

Victor Syperek, a well-known local entrepreneur, owner of several businesses around town and vocal critic of government bureaucracies, shares his vision of the city and takes on city hall and the rules and regulations that stymie businessmen and women.

“And Christopher Stewart, a financial consultant with Edward Jones in Halifax, shares tips on how to make your money work for you in his personal finance column.”
