Georgia paper names new biz editor

January 23, 2011

Donna Espy, who previously worked for the Marietta Daily Journal as a news reporter and more recently as a feature writer for the newspaper’s Cobb Life magazine, has been chosen to serve as business editor for the Journal.

A story on the paper’s site states, “Along with the addition of Espy, Brumby announced that the Journal will be expanding its daily business coverage to two pages of news four days a week, and will continue with one page on the other three days. The expanded coverage will have a strong focus on Cobb business news but will also include important national and world news. The Journal also is in the process of revising and expanding its stock page coverage and hopes to have a new stock report in place within a few weeks.

“‘We are proud to welcome Donna back to the MDJ in her new role as business editor,’ Brumby said. ‘Donna is a longtime Cobb resident and has a deep understanding of the Cobb landscape. As business editor, she will highlight local economic issues, people and businesses that make Cobb County a great place to work and call home.'”
