Kris Frieswick has been named editor in chief of On Wall Street, a magazine and website that provides news about wealth managers at wirehouse firms and regional broker-dealers.

For the past 11 years, Frieswick has been a freelance business journalist. Her work has appeared in Inc. Magazine, Men’s Health, Redbook, Hemispheres, Departures, WSJ Magazine, the Economist, Boston Magazine, and Boston Globe magazine. She has also been a video script writer who has worked with Harvard Business Publishing and MSN Money to produce and edit original scripted programming.

She was also a senior writer at CFO magazine from 1997 to 2005 and a regular business news contributor to Boston’s WGBH-TV. Most recently, she managed content marketing initiatives for J.P. Morgan.

“We are very excited to have Kris join our team,” said Robert Whitaker, the senior vice president and proup publisher overseeing SourceMedia’s Investment Advisor Group, in a statement. “Her experience as both a financial journalist and digital brand manager are sure to elevate On Wall Street to a new level.”

Source Media’s other publications include American Banker, The Bond Buyer and National Mortgage News.
