Lauren Etter, a former Wall Street Journal reporter, has been hired by Bloomberg News.
She started Monday in its Austin, Texas bureau, where she is on the state and municipalities team.
Etter has spent the last four years freelancing for a number of publications, including Bloomberg Businessweek, Business Insider, Vanity Fair, the ABA Journal and The New Yorker.
She spent six and a half years at The Journal before that. Etter is a Northwestern University graduate.
