Former aerospace reporter goes to work for Boeing

July 23, 2009

James Wallace, the former aerospace reporter at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer before the paper closed its print edition in March and he was laid off, has a new job working for the company he used to write stories about — Boeing Co.

Andrea James of the P-I’s remaining Web site operations writes, “Wallace starts as managing editor of Frontiers magazine in three weeks, and he will be based out of Boeing’s headquarters in Chicago, he said.

“Frontiers is distributed to Boeing employees at its locations world wide and mailed to some retirees.

“Wallace worked for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer for 28 years and lost his job in March when the newspaper folded and became an online-only operation.

“During his final 12 years at the P-I, he covered Boeing and aerospace for the newspaper. He also worked for 10 years in management as an editor with various positions.”
