Economist moving NY offices in 2010

The Economist‘s U.S. operations, based in New York, will move into space in a Conde Nast building in 2010.

The Economist Group in its subleasing of nearly 62,000 square feet of space from Advanced Magazine Publishers, a division of Conde Nast. The Economist Group will relocate from its long-time home at 111 West 57th Street to the recently built, state-of-the-art offices on the fifth and sixth floors of 750 Third Avenue.

The Economist Group is scheduled to move into its new space in the second quarter of 2010 for the 11 years that remain on Advanced Magazine Publisher’s lease. Also known as Grand Central Square, 750 Third Ave., an S.L. Green-owned property, is a 34-story, 779,000-square-foot office tower.

The building offers a newly renovated lobby, entryway and elevator cabs and has interconnecting lobby with 485 Lexington Ave. Other tenants in the building include Richard A. Eisner & Co., The Polish Mission to the UN and Marcum & Kliegman.
