CNBC website 2016CNBC launched a homepage redesign this weekend that includes more headlines and programmable videos.

The additional headlines help users quickly scan the stories that are moving the markets, the financial news organization believes. Programmable video plays directly on the homepage, getting users to the content they want faster and with less friction.

The redesign also has a horizontal market overview module with more securities, making it easier to get a snapshot of the markets.

CNBC.com has also launched a public beta of its new markets page, which includes improved user experience and navigation with key markets data.  The page also provides interactive charts for the major indexes and the latest market news.

Next month, the site will launch a public beta of its new quotes page designed to serve users looking for all levels of data. The layout will offer large, interactive charts and a richer set of data including financials, peers, historical performance, earnings, analyst recommendations and ownership.

These pages will continue to offer real-time pricing data and extended hours pricing.
