December 17, 2008

Mark Perigard of the Boston Herald reviews the CNBC special show airing Wednesday about Harvard Business School and comes away unimpressed with the effort.

Perigard writes, “‘Chaseâ€? finds the courage to ask whether anyone needs a Harvard MBA. The lack of one never hurt Warren Buffett or Bill Gates, Quintanilla notes.

“After a brief aside regarding convicted felon and ex-Enron CEO Jeffrey Skilling, a 1979 grad, Quintanilla asks the school’s dean, ‘Has the school taken too hard a knock because Jeff Skilling went here?’

“The kids at Nick News could pitch a better hardball.

“It must be noted that the review copy cut off with a few moments remaining in the hour. It would be astonishing if the program took any hard-hitting swerves.”
