Anchor Kori Hale has left business news network Cheddar after one year on the job.

“I’m moving from Cheddar following an amazing time pioneering and growing this medium,” said Hale in an email to Talking Biz News. “I’ll be pursuing new opportunities in an effort to work on original, diverse reporting in new media, allowing me to continue nurturing my journalistic and creative skill sets.

“With experience of spearheading the digital-first media business over the past year, I look forward to continuing helping develop extraordinary original content in business, technology, lifestyle and news.”

Hale joined Cheddar in October 2016 from CNBC, where she was a producer of its top-rated shows “Squawk on the Street” and “Squawk Alley.” Prior to joining CNBC, Kori was an international producer for Bloomberg TV and a financial correspondent for TheStreet.com.

She previously worked at UBS Investment Bank in London and also as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs.

Hale received her undergraduate degree in finance from Hampton University and a masters degree in digital broadcast journalism from Syracuse University. She is a board member for Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts.
