PoliticoPolitico editor Susan Glasser and Politico Pro editor Marty Kady sent out the following announcement on Tuesday morning:

We’re thrilled to announce that Mark McQuillan will bring his deep knowledge of finance and policy to POLITICO when he starts today as editor of Pro Financial Services, filling a vacancy created when Clea Benson was promoted to join the Pro leadership team as Deputy Editor. In two decades as an editor at Bloomberg News, Mark led teams covering everything from the economy to politics, directed enterprise coverage and served as Washington bureau chief.  Before joining Bloomberg, he worked in Tokyo as an editor at the Japan Economic Journal.  He’s known as a deft craftsman with stories and an inspiring leader, and we’re delighted that he’ll be helping the financial services team continue to elevate their coverage.

We’re also excited to announce an internal move that’s another great example of the opportunities for career growth at Pro.  ProWeb producer Cogan Schneier will join the Labor team as a reporter next week, covering workplace issues including worker safety and civil rights. She’s a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she served as an editor of The Badger Herald, the largest independent student newspaper in the country.

Susan, Marty
