bloomberg_westBloomberg Television head Al Mayers sent out the following announcement on Thursday:

On the heels of the launch of our new global morning program “Bloomberg <GO>” and the expansion of “What’d You Miss?”, I wanted to share some exciting news on the programming front:

As we enter the thick of the campaign season, “With All Due Respect” will soon expand to one hour — airing from 5-6 pm ET — giving the show more time for the reporting, interviews and analysis that is helping to make Bloomberg TV a destination for political coverage.

In just one year, Mark Halperin, John Heilemann and the entire WADR team have broken news, landed interviews with presidential candidates in both parties (17 to date) and taken the show to New Hampshire, Iowa and across the country. The show continues to bring in a new, politics-savvy audience to Bloomberg TV while making huge strides on the digital front — already ranking #4 in online video viewers among all political news outlets.

We are continuing to improve and invest in our global technology coverage and I’m happy to share that we are expanding “Bloomberg West” to one hour, airing 6 pm ET / 3 pm PT.

In 2011, we launched “Bloomberg West,” the leading TV news program to focus solely on technology, innovation and the big stories impacting the future of business. It’s still the only global news program to broadcast from San Francisco, covering the industry leaders in technology from a West Coast perspective and on the ground where the pulse of change is taking place.

Emily Chang and the team have done a remarkable job in building a multi-platform news product that features the biggest players in the tech industry. Just recently, the team has secured newsmaking interviews with Mark Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg, Marc Andreessen, Jack Ma, Satya Nadella, Evan Williams, Meg Whitman and more. With this expansion, we look forward to it making an even greater impact.

These changes take effect on Monday, November 2nd.
