Danielle Kucera, a technology reporter for Bloomberg News in its San Francisco bureau, resigned Tuesday to accept a job with an e-commerce firm.

Kucera will become manager of customer experience and insights at Dot & Bo, a privately held San Francisco-based company that sells home furnishings on the Internet.

“I’m excited to go from evaluater to builder — and learn how to grow a business from the ground up,” said Kucera in a message to Talking Biz News. “Reporting on the e-commerce industry for two years from the inside out has prepared me well for the job. I just have to make sure I stop grilling everyone I meet.”

Kucera has been with Bloomberg since September 2010, previously working out of its New York Office. In San Francisco, she has covered Amazon, eBay, Monster Worldwide, Yelp, Angie’s List and startups.

She is a 2010 UNC-Chapel Hill graduate.
