Brazilian financial news site InfoMoney  announced Tuesday a partnership with Bloomberg LP to provide extensive global business content, in Portuguese.

The new digital platform infomoney.com.br will provide news, photos and videos from Bloomberg throughout the site.

“The partnership with Bloomberg reinforces the commitment to provide the best content to our readers and to democratize the access to high-quality business and financial information in Brazil,” says Pedro Englert, InfoMoney CEO, in a statement.

Bloomberg operates a global, multi-platform media operation with web, mobile, television, radio, print magazines, and live events and more than 2,400 news professionals in 154 bureaus around the world. The partnership will provide InfoMoney with Bloomberg’s global news on financial markets, autos, luxury, technology and more.

Bloomberg Media Group CEO Justin Smith recently announced a new direction for Bloomberg’s consumer media operation, including an increased emphasis on global markets.

“With bureaus in 72 countries, Bloomberg’s global presence is unrivaled in the consumer media industry,” said Smith in a statement. “We have major ambitions to further expand our international footprint, as we work to develop the leading next-generation global business media company. Brazil is central to our growth throughout Latin America and this partnership will strengthen our ability to be the source of news and information for business decision makers in Brazil.”

Throughout 2014, Bloomberg Businessweek content will also be featured prominently within InfoMoney magazine. In the coming months, the first local language version of Bloomberg Billionaires, a daily tracker of wealth and ranking of the world’s richest people, will launch within the InfoMoney site.
