Bloomberg reporter leaves to be editor of art magazine

January 5, 2011

Lindsay Pollock, a Bloomberg News reporter who covered the art market, is leaving the service to be editor in chief of Art in America.

Kate Taylor of the New York Times reports, “This 98-year-old magazine, which combines reporting and criticism, is owned by Brant Publications, whose chairman is the prominent art collector and former Andy Warhol buddy Peter Brant. (Brant Publications also owns Interview, the magazine that Warhol founded.) Ms. Pollock has frequently written about Mr. Brant, and he has apparently been impressed.

“‘Lindsay is among the most respected art journalists in New York,’ he said in a statement. ‘She brings a dynamic news sense and experience with Web-based arts coverage that will enhance our publications and platforms.”
