Bloomberg Markets magazine names new publisher

Bloomberg Markets magazine has named Michael Dukmejian as publisher, reflecting Bloomberg’s commitment to expansion of its media products.

The position is a new one at the company.

“There isn’t anyone more qualified, experienced and passionate to become publisher of Bloomberg Markets magazine than Mike Dukmejian,” said Bloomberg News editor in chief Matthew Winkler, to whom Dukmejian will report, in a statement. “Bloomberg Markets readers are the people with the most at stake in the markets, the economy and global policy. Mike Dukmejian brings to Bloomberg an exceptional appreciation of our unique high net worth global readership.”

Dukmejian will work alongside magazine editor Ronald Henkoff, who reports to Winkler.

“I am excited to be joining the Bloomberg Markets team at this time of growth and expansion for the Company and for Bloomberg Markets magazine,” Dukmejian said in a statement. “I believe the magazine is well positioned to be a defining force in business journalism.”

Dukmejian was executive vice president at SourceMedia Inc., where he oversaw the Professional Services Division. He spent more than 26 years at Time Inc. in a variety of positions in publishing, sales and marketing, most recently as group publisher for the Fortune and Money Group and CNNMoney.com. Dukmejian earned an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
