August 10, 2010

American City Business Journals, the Charlotte-based parent of 40 weekly business newspapers, has started a digital advertising platform named CityBizNetwork.

It’s an alliance of 125-plus web sites, including business journal sites, chambers of commerce and professional organizations. The company intends to help advertisers better reach targeted “business spenders.”

CityBizNetwork says that it is currently reaching 15 million consumers. It is adding new publishers and intends to increase its reach to 200 business sites and 25 million professionals during the next 12 months.

“We are giving national business-to-business marketers the reach they’ve never had before while providing business publishers and local organizations an opportunity to better maximize the revenue potential of their online assets,” said Tim Bradbury, president of new media at American City Business Journals, in a statement.
