Barrons-Asia-Big-ImageEdward Finn, the editor and president of Barron’s, writes about the one-year anniversary of its Asia edition.

Finn writes, “Editor Kopin Tan went to Hong Kong more than a year ago and hired a top-notch team to fill the Barron’s Asia home page with actionable investment ideas every weekday. Under Kopin’s expert tutelage, the team members have done a terrific job.

“Columnist Wayne Arnold has provided fresh insights on a regular basis, including advance warning that China was likely to devalue its currency. Blogger Shuli Ren writes the best running commentary we know of on daily developments important to Asian investors.

“Our stock-picking team, led by Isabella Zhong and Daniel Shane, has written more than 200 incisive company stories. Writer Abby Schultz has authored dozens of savvy profiles of the region’s top private banks. She has also contributed stories on a topic close to the hearts of many wealthy Asian investors: how to get your child into a top U.S. college.

Adam Routh has pioneered a franchise called Asia’s Best Minds, bringing to our readers investment articles from the region’s smartest professional investors.

“Perhaps most important has been Managing Editor Robert Guy, who came to us after 15 years at the Australian Financial Review, including a stint as Shanghai bureau chief. Robert has done a masterful job of managing the site every day.”
