Leon FrankLeon Frank, a columnist for the Baltimore Business Journal, died last Wednesday at the age of 70 due to a brain aneurysm.

Journal editor in chief Joanna Sullivan writes, “Under Frank’s sunny disposition, he was quite serious about giving our readers some great advice to grow their businesses.

“Frank, president of Max & Associates, was a life-long entrepreneur who had lots to share in an easy approachable way. His ‘Performance Doctor’ column in our Strategies section was appreciated by business owners who had to deal with issues like poor morale, firing errant employees and other thorny situations. It was practical advice from someone who had definitely faced many management challenges over the years. The column he sent me the other day is about how to measure how well you’re business is doing.

“I’m sure readers are going to miss Frank’s friendly face and business know-how. I know I’m going to miss editing his columns. I’ll especially miss those friendly emails.”
