Austin Business Journal revamps real estate coverage

Greg Barr, the managing editor of the Austin Business Journal, writes about the changes being made to the publication’s real estate coverage, now branded Real Estate Inc.

Barr writes, “Why the switch? Well, its main mission is delivering the most timely, accurate reports on the business of real estate in Central Texas, from the rest of the state and other parts of the country of interest to you.

“Of course, the main driver of this business intelligence is award-winning Austin Business Journal real estate reporter Jan Buchholz. Longtime readers of Buchholz’s articles know that she is the most plugged-in real estate writer in Central Texas who not only breaks important real estate news first, but she provides the analysis and meaning behind the headlines so that ABJ readers can act on that news to jump on new opportunities or make important networking contacts.

“The branding of this newsletter also extends to Buchholz’s own daily blogs and her reports in the weekly print and digital edition of Austin Business Journal, starting with the July 11 publication.

“In other words, the brand switch from Breaking Ground to Real Estate Inc. also drives home the fact that readers of this weekly report are not just interested in scatter-shot reporting — they want comprehensive analysis that will help them be successful.”
