Arizona paper looking to change stock listings

Tim Steller, business editor of the Arizona Daily Star, writes that the Tucson-based paper will be cutting its stock and mutual fund listings in the coming weeks, but wants the advice of its readers on how to implement the plan.

Tim StellerSteller wrote, “The new report will include much of the same information available in today’s section: foreign exchange rates, interest rates (including CDs and Treasury bills), commodities prices, and a recap of the performances of the major market indices. And it will include some new features, such as a preview of that day’s economic news.

“But we have not selected every element of the new market report. We’re wondering what matters most to you. Of the features listed below, what would you most like to see in the daily market report?

  • A daily report on the performance of global stock markets
  • A daily feature answering readers’ investment questions
  • A daily collection of stocks in a single industry, such as technology
  • A short daily mutual funds list.”
