Antonelli named editor in chief of Bloomberg BNA
Bloomberg News senior executive editor Cesca Antonelli has been named editor in chief of Bloomberg BNA.
In addition to government-focused news and information products, Bloomberg BNA provides news and information about the legal, tax and compliance markets.
It has approximately 250 journalists. There had not been an editor in chief in recent years.
Antonelli was previously responsible for data visualization, graphics and visual media at Bloomberg News.
Antonelli spent 19 years with Bloomberg News as a reporter and editor in five bureaus, and ran teams around the world. At Bloomberg News, Antonelli helped build the company news coverage in the Americas and throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She was Washington bureau chief and managed the company’s global “front page,” Top Worldwide.
Before joining Bloomberg, she was a reporter at business newspapers in San Francisco and Pittsburgh.
In addition, BNA bureau chief Paul Albergo has been named executive editor of the organization. He has been at BNA for more than 30 years and held a number of positions.
BNA was acquired by Bloomberg in 2011 for nearly $1 billion. Bloomberg Government was folded into BNA last year.
